VISITING THE SMOKY MOUNTAINS?
Chabad of Knoxville is glad to help all travelers visiting the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, however, being an hour away and focusing on our community in Knoxville we are limited with what we can provide. In addition we run an elementary school that begins August 1st, so our time is very limited.

LOCATION
The Great Smoky Mountains National Park has three cities with different attractions in each, all three cities have many hotels and cabins for lodging. The driving times from each of the cities to Chabad depends on traffic.
1. Sevierville (about 36 miles from Chabad)
2. Pigeon Forge (about 43 miles from Chabad)
3. Gatlinburg (about 50 miles from Chabad)

Chabad does not have the ability to accommodate sleeping.
Please note there is no Eiruv at this time in Knoxville.

WEEKDAY MINYANIM AND SHABBOS MINYAN
To help coordinate Minyanim in the Smokies a WhatsApp group has been created, send a WhatsApp text to 865-588-8584 to join.
In addition please complete this form with your traveling information. Once you submit the form you will see info from other travelers who submitted the form. It will then be up to all of you based on the info people provide, to arrange a Minyan or Minyanim in the Smokies, decide on the time and place. Once you set up a Minyan please let Rabbi Yossi know via text or Whatsapp 865-300-8012 so the website can be updated accordingly.
Shabbos Minyan in the Smokies will be very difficult to arrange unless you stay in the same hotel. Trying to find a cabin close to each other will not be easy. Any arrangements should be between yourselves there is not much we can do to help for a Shabbos Minyan in the Smokies.

KOSHER FOOD
There are no Kosher restaurants or kosher grocery stores in Knoxville. Kosher dairy products, meats and Pas Yisroel items are hard to come by. If you’re driving, stock up before you head to the Smokies.
The following stores have limited Kosher items:
Kroger at Knox Plaza - 4918 Kingston Pike, Knoxville
This store has limited fresh meat and poultry, some frozen items, lots of gefillte fish jars and Matzah of every kind and a few more Kosher items
Trader Joe's - 8001 Kingston Pike, Knoxville
This has limited fresh meat and poultry and some Pas Yisroel items, sometimes Challah, and Kosher Wine. Click here for a list of Pas Yisroel items at TJ, keep in mind the location in Knoxville does not carry everything on this list.
Whole Foods - 6730 Papermill Drive NW, Knoxville

Prepared Meals - Advance order
You can order Kosher meals for during the week and for Shabbos from Yasmin's Kitchen – 865-283-2706 – orders MUST be made in advance, and you have to mention you want the food prepared at Chabad.

We BH have a property and plans in the making for a Mikvah. For now the closest Mikvah is in Chattanooga (105 miles from Chabad of Knoxville) and Nashville (187 miles from Chabad of Knoxville)
